I have here carburetor manuals for the Tillotson, Walbro, Keihin and Mikuni carburetors commonly found on vintage snowmobiles. These cover operating principles , troubleshooting, adjustment and rebuild. Get the information right from the factory manual. I also have spec sheets for Mikuni VM replacement or conversion for many popular vintage sleds. If you are considering a Mikuni conversion, this will provide you a starting point for carb size and jetting. I have a Tillotson HR & HD application and description manual that will help you to find a correct or similar Tillotson carburetor for your vintage sled.
